Enjoy our hike up to the Fifth Water Hot Springs! We were hoping for more vibrant fall colors but I think we were a week or two early for them. We still got a fair amount of vibrant green, yellow, and red against the blue bird sky. It was a stunningly beautiful morning. I was really surprised to see it has turned into a ‘fee use’ site, where you have to pay $10+ for a 3+ day pass to park in the available lot. I have been coming here for over twenty years and it is upsetting to see this coupled with destroyed trails due to recent storms and traditionally clogged parking areas. What exactly are we paying for if it hasn’t improved?
